Gerry Boland Photography
Having completed
photography studies with the New York Institute of Photography, NY; Institute
of Modern Photography, New Jersey; Kodak Canada; and Art studies at Memorial
University, St. John's, NF., I spent several more years of study in the
Photographic Arts in various provinces of Canada. In Toronto, I completed
studies in the Art of Film and Video with Sony Canada and Kodak Canada. Studies
included; Television Production, Video and Film Equipment and Video Production.
I also studied Graphic Design at the College of the North Atlantic, St. John's,
NF. Throughout the years, I have attended various upgrading and refresher
courses at various Universities across Canada. I have also lectured at various
high schools and Universities in eastern Canada on the Photographic Arts to
obtain credits towards my Masters degree.
Thoroughly versed in
photography, graphic design, and video production with a career that has
spanned more than 40 years (over 31 years operating my own company), I have
completed major design projects involving posters, newspaper and magazine
advertisements, brochures, press kits, display booths, television commercials
and corporate videos.
Through my membership
with the Professional Photographers of Canada, I have earned National
Accreditation’s in the categories of Industrial Photography, General
Portraiture and Formal Wedding. I
have also had character studies entered in the PPOC National Print competition,
and accepted to hang in the association's National Print Gallery.
At Present I am working on my Master of the Photograph Arts and American Master of the Photograph Arts
